Which let’s face it, usually struggle to convey the correct tone, importance, and/or urgency! This is where screen capturing quite simply can make your life easier! With visuals, you can show someone exactly what you want them to know, rather than relying solely on your words. Do you honestly think this is the best use of your time or theirs? Most importantly, is this a sustainable means of communication? How many times do you see something on your computer screen that you want to share with a team member or contact? Perhaps you’re someone who copies the URL and pastes it into an email, along with an unintentionally lengthy description, explaining where you want them to find the point you’re trying to make. Perhaps we should start with why you should use screen capture or screencasts in the first place… So, the big question is, how can Snagit enhance our workflows? And, is it worth the price? Many of the #pplmvmt community know that Tom is an avid fan of Techsmith and particularly Snagit, for its screen recordings features and its other add-ons. That worked! Editor shows a long skinny capture that prints as 2 pages, as it should. In our latest chat, we sat down to pick the brain of Snagit’s very own Daniel Foster. I just tried a simple webpage with what would be about 2 printer pages. This is all with a long webpage (10-20 printed pages if it worked). I must be doing something different this time: after the scrolling, it says "Processing Capture" for about a minute, which make me think it did capture all the page as a fairly large file. If I select Scrolling Window, it seems to scroll OK but the Capture in Editor is still just the top of the webpage. If I select Image (my usual choice), I have 7 choices under "Selection" in the middle of the Capture window: Region (my usual choice), Window, Full Screen, Scrolling Window, Panoramic, Grab Text, and Advanced. In the Capture window, I have 3 choices on the left: All-in-One, Image, and Video. On my PC, I don't have a "Webpage" option. Thanks, Sacto! I'm encouraged that at least it works for someone. Update: I upgraded to Snagit v 2021.4.4: same results. I'm using Windows 10 Pro, latest Chrome v. I will try some of the suggestions like Panorama but don't expect it to work either. How is a scrolling capture supposed to be saved by Snagit? Is it something like 10 separate JPEGs, one for each part of the scrolled webpage? Or is it saved as a video? Or a 10-page PDF? I searched help for "print scrolling capture" but get no hits. I thought I must be missing a step or two, but I see others having similar issues. When I print, it just prints that one page. I click on the pulsing down arrow, the page seems to automatically scroll as it should, and the capture shows up in the editor as a single image/page (the top of the webpage). Now I need it for a single webpage that would print about 10 pages long. I have never had much (any?) luck with a scrolling capture.
